About Me
Gabriela Watson-Burkett is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, and multimedia journalist.
She is passionate about using her storytelling skills to bring attention to social inequalities and also highlight inspiring stories of communities often overlooked in traditional media.
Currently, Gabriela is one of the Co-founders and Journalists at ¡Presente! Media, as well as a Freelance Producer. She has worked as a Producer for the Black News Channel, WPVI-TV - 6 ABC, WHYY and PhillyCAM. Gabriela also has taught Digital Filmmaking and Latin American Cinema in many universities around the Philadelphia area. Read more about her work here.
